Arkan for Studies, Research and Publishing
Arkan is an Egyptian for-profit limited liability company. It was established in February 2017. Arkan aims to drive scientific research forward, promote its tools in both Social Sciences and Humanities, and support their active individuals and institutions.
To contribute to shaping Arab and Islamic Umma’s awareness, and expressing their aspirations in accordance with a scientific methodology expressing their cultural identity that has developed throughout their mutual history
To provide an infrastructure of scientific resources to produce and innovate knowledge.
Arkan works in the fields of scientific research in both Social Sciences and Humanities. It does not involve any nonscientific activities. Moreover, it is incapable of getting affiliated with any political body that may affect its activities’ integrity. On that basis, it cooperates with individuals, institutions and entities as a scientific, cultural, awareness-raising, research center in a way that does not exceed the Center’s vision, mission, work fields and general objectives.
Our Objectives
Arkan aims to drive scientific research forward, promote its tools, and support its active individuals and institutions. It specifically aims to:
Contribute to promoting civilizational vision that expresses the cultural identity of both Arab community and Islamic Umma.
Encourage methodical research into Social Sciences and Humanities and assist researchers in publishing their researches and enjoying maximum benefit from their cognitive works.
Attract researchers and trainees, create scientific cadres, enhance their skills, and increase their efficiency.
Establish a scientific network of professors, researchers, research centers, and scientific institutions; establish and strengthen relationships among them; and spare no effort in creating a scientific community capable of shaping the Umma’s awareness and expressing its aspirations.
Broaden the areas of scientific and societal agreement and increase their paths as much as possible through openness to different research schools bearing in mind the levels and forms of integration, containment and engagement.
Provide a scientific database of remarkable researches and studies in Social Sciences and Humanities.
Create opportunities for research work and scientific practice in order to invest and maximize potentials and factors of success.
Design and develop curricula, facilities and indicators used in scientific programs and practices; evaluate their results; and upgrade their products.
Our Activities
Arkan undertakes its activities in cultural and scientific fields through purposeful, progressive, strategic plans and decent scientific standards that emphasize the identity and mission of the center, through the following:
Preparing, printing and publishing books, scientific researches, studies and reports in the Center’s work fields; and translating them from Arabic into various languages and vice versa.
Designing, managing and putting into effect educational programs, training workshops, educative lectures, conferences, symposia, and events wherein scientific and cognitive skills and abilities are developed.
Providing professional and scientific research services to individuals and public and private sectors; and offering scientific and research advice on Social Sciences and Humanities.
Offering research scholarships, and supporting researchers and research institutions.
Conducting opinions polls, making conclusions, and carrying out field studies necessary for scientific research.
Establishing scientific and cognitive training centers, academies, institutions, groups, and websites.
