This study is structured around the case of economic reform in the Arab region according to the IMF’s vision with the assessment of these conditions and presenting its political and economic results. The study is divided into two parts : the first part focuses on the Egyptian case while the second focuses on the Tunisian case.

The study is attempting to understand how Arab uprisings and their outcomes had effects on the drafting and functioning of reform programmes in the region, how they are related to the political conditions in it, and the IMF’s policy shifts that occurred after these uprisings with regards to vision, discourse and directives.
