In the 21st century, the Arab World is facing numerous crises in different fields. One of the most serious crises is language crisis and how it affects the Arab role causing its retardation, especially in education. This crisis has two aspects; the first is the neglect of mother tongue though it is the root forming the Arab identity, and the primary tool of communication. While the other is the lack of English proficiency, which is considered the global language of sciences in recent time and which empowers its users to keep up-to-date with ongoing scientific research and contribute to it.This study attempts to present the aspects of this crisis, its reasons and impacts, especially in terms of education, hoping to contribute to shedding light on such a crisis and studying its repercussions and remedies.
